The Story
The Gold Line isn’t even built yet, but already it has brought two proposals for apartment complexes to Oakdale. The non-profit developer Presbyterian Homes is proposing a 131-unit building, and Reuter Walton Development is aiming for up to 130 units in its apartment complex. Both would be at stations of the proposed Gold Line, B bus line, running from St. Paul through Oakdale to Woodbury. Both would include some affordable housing, and both are seeking tax breaks from the city.
